1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this procedure is to explain the Biodiversity Policy at the hotel.
2. DEFINITION
Biodiversity: The diversity of life in all its forms and at all levels. Although the term biodiversity refers to everything that collectively makes up the world's biological diversity, from genes to species to ecosystems, it is often used to refer to the diversity of plant and animal species.
Biodiversity is essential to maintain quality of life and a healthy environment. The continued decline of biodiversity and damage to ecosystems has serious consequences, and their protection and restoration are essential for a sustainable future.
3. SCOPE
This policy applies to the hotel's own operations and all business partners and suppliers that provide products and services on behalf of our hotel.
4. RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sustainability Management Team is responsible for defining the strategies and commitments included in this policy, as well as their implementation frameworks and targets. The SYS Team meets at least once a year to review biodiversity performance, take the necessary decisions and report to the Board of Directors.
Our management team has overall responsibility for this policy, including ensuring compliance with legal and ethical obligations.
Purchasing and Supply Chain at the hotel and all relevant teams are responsible for the implementation of this policy.
All suppliers and business partners are obliged to comply with this policy.
5. POLICY
5.1. Biodiversity Strategy
The protection of biodiversity is among the priority areas within the scope of sustainability
policy. It aims to protect the diversity of species, habitats, ecosystems and the integrity of
ecological functions by determining and monitoring the effects of its activities on
biodiversity.
Most of the impacts on biodiversity occur in raw material supply operations in the early
stages of the supply chain (such as traditional cotton production, which uses agrochemicals
such as fertilisers, pesticides and large amounts of water). Air, soil and water pollution
resulting from production and operation stages also has a negative impact on biodiversity.
It pursues resource efficiency and minimum waste generation in its activities in order to
detect and minimize these impacts, achieve a more responsible supply chain, and reduce the
demand for natural resources and ecosystems.
In this context, as CAPE KRİO BOUTİQUE HOTEL, OUR BIODIVERSITY
PROTECTION POLICY;
• We identify and control the possible direct and indirect impacts of our activities and
activities in the supply chain on biodiversity.
• In our activities, we avoid materials that pose a risk to endangered species, animal welfare
and forests.
• We include ensuring the continuity of natural resources in our goals and develop projects
in this direction. We are involved in studies focusing on biodiversity conservation with
NGOs and local governments.
• In order to raise awareness about the importance and protection of biodiversity, we
organize in-house training and internal communication activities and include this issue
within the scope of sustainability training.
• We share biodiversity performance annually in the Sustainability Report.
• We take actions to create and monitor the biodiversity inventory of the region and ensure
that endemic species are protected.
• We take actions to support and develop agricultural activities, which are the source of
livelihood of local people.
Education
Necessary training is organized for all employees of the hotel to ensure that they act in
accordance with these policies and procedures and to recognize and avoid crimes within the
scope of biodiversity protection.
Companies in the supply chain are also expected to provide training to their employees in
this context.
Violation Status
In case of a risk, detection of violation or concern about the destruction of biodiversity An

Corrective action is implemented as soon as possible to end the relevant situation, and the
effectiveness of the measures taken is monitored.
